General

Working with ZitDevs.

Can ZitDevs replace an internal IT employee?

In many cases a managed agreement covers the responsibilities of an internal IT role, including help desk, accounts, devices and infrastructure oversight. Where an internal role remains, ZitDevs works alongside it.

Can we hire ZitDevs for a single project?

Yes. Project engagements have a defined scope, timeline and delivery plan, with no requirement to continue afterwards.

Can you work with our internal team?

Yes. ZitDevs often works as additional capacity alongside internal developers, IT staff or marketing teams, with responsibilities agreed in writing.

Do you work with companies outside the Dominican Republic?

Yes. ZitDevs serves clients in the United States, the Dominican Republic, the Caribbean and Latin America.

Which languages do you work in?

English and Spanish, including documentation, interfaces, reports and meetings. The working language is agreed for each engagement.

Is the team remote?

ZitDevs operates remote-first. Working hours, communication channels and meeting cadence are agreed at the start of each engagement.

Pricing and contracts

How engagements are priced and agreed.

How are services priced?

Projects are quoted as a fixed scope after discovery. Managed services are priced by the coverage agreed, such as users, systems or channels. Advisory work is priced by hours. Every proposal states what is included.

Why are prices not published?

Cost depends on scope, and any figure given before scope is a guess. Estimates are written after an initial conversation, with the assumptions behind them stated.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Project engagements have no requirement to continue. Terms for monthly services are stated in the agreement before work begins.

Can the scope change during a project?

Yes. Changes are documented in writing, with their effect on cost and timeline, before the work proceeds.

Who owns the work produced?

Ownership of deliverables is defined in the contract for each engagement and confirmed before work begins.

How is confidential information handled?

Confidentiality terms are agreed in writing before discovery, and access to systems and data is limited to the people doing the work.

Getting started

What happens first.

What happens in the consultation?

A 30-minute call to understand what you want to launch, improve or manage, and to agree a practical next step. Nothing is committed until a written scope is sent.

Do we need to prepare anything?

No preparation is required. It helps to know your current systems, your goal and any deadline.

What happens after we send a request?

A member of the ZitDevs team reviews every request and replies with a practical next step.

We are not sure what we need. Where should we start?

Book a consultation, or start with an IT audit, which reviews your current environment and produces a prioritized plan you can act on with or without ZitDevs.

Build

Software, web, mobile and design.

Custom Software Development

View service
How much does custom software development cost?

There is no universal price, and any figure quoted before scope is a guess. Cost is driven by the number of workflows the system has to cover, the integrations it needs, the compliance and access requirements, and whether it replaces an existing system. We give a written estimate after discovery, with the assumptions behind it stated so you can see what would change the number.

How long does it take to build custom software?

It depends on the size of the first release, not on the size of the eventual system. We deliberately scope a first release that is small enough to reach production, then sequence the rest. During discovery we give a timeline for that first release and the reasoning behind it.

Can ZitDevs improve an existing platform?

Yes. We start with a technical review of the codebase, data model and infrastructure to establish what state it is in, what the risks are, and what continuing costs compared with rebuilding a part of it. The review is a deliverable in itself, so you can act on it with or without us.

Can you build an MVP first?

Yes, and in most cases we recommend it. The condition we set is that an MVP is built to be extended rather than thrown away: the same version control, testing and deployment practices apply, so the first release can become the foundation instead of a rewrite.

Who owns the software and source code?

Ownership of deliverables is defined in the contract for each engagement, before work begins. We will not describe a standard arrangement here, because the terms are agreed in writing per project rather than assumed.

Do you provide maintenance after launch?

Yes. Maintenance and continued development are available as a managed monthly service under the same relationship, covering fixes, dependency updates, small improvements and the next stages of the roadmap.

Can you integrate existing business tools?

Yes. Integration work covers accounting, CRM, payment, logistics, email and internal systems, through documented APIs where they exist and other mechanisms where they do not. Which integrations are feasible is confirmed during discovery, not promised in advance.

Can ZitDevs work with our internal development team?

Yes. Shared delivery is common. Responsibilities, repository access, review process and code ownership are agreed in advance so that neither team is guessing who owns what.

What technologies do you use?

Typically TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Go, Docker and cloud infrastructure. If your team already maintains a different stack, we will normally build in yours rather than leave you supporting two.

How do you protect confidential business information?

Confidentiality terms are agreed in writing before discovery begins, and access to systems and data is limited to the people doing the work. Specific controls are set per engagement according to what the project touches.

Web Development

View service
How much does a business website cost?

Cost follows the number of pages, how much copy has to be written, how many languages are needed, whether a CMS is involved and whether content must be migrated. We quote after agreeing a page inventory, and the proposal states what is included so the comparison with other quotes is fair.

How long does website development take?

The stage that usually takes longest is content, not code. Once positioning and copy are settled, development and testing move quickly. We give a timeline with the proposal and identify which parts depend on your review.

Can ZitDevs redesign an existing website?

Yes. A redesign begins with a review of the current site: what ranks, what converts, what URLs must be preserved and what should be removed. Existing search visibility is protected with a redirect plan rather than lost at launch.

Do you provide copywriting?

Yes. Website and landing-page copy are part of the engagement, written in English and Spanish, informed by search intent and reviewed with you before design.

Will the website be SEO-ready?

Yes. That means semantic structure, one H1 per page, metadata per page and per language, structured data where appropriate, fast loading, clean URLs, sitemaps and Search Console setup. It does not mean guaranteed rankings, which nobody can promise.

Can you build a multilingual website?

Yes. Multilingual architecture is standard for us: separate URLs per language, translated metadata, localised slugs, hreflang signals and a language switch that keeps the visitor on the same page.

Can our team update the content?

Yes. We define a content model and connect a CMS so your team can edit text and images without a developer. Which areas are editable is agreed during the build.

Do you provide maintenance after launch?

Yes, as a monthly service covering updates, backups, uptime monitoring, security checks, small fixes and content changes.

Can you migrate our existing website?

Yes. Migration covers content, media, URL mapping and redirects, plus verification after launch that nothing was lost and that analytics continue reporting.

Which technologies do you use?

Typically Next.js, React and TypeScript with a headless CMS. Where you already run a platform your team maintains, we will discuss building on it rather than replacing it.

WordPress Development

View service
How much does a WordPress website cost?

Cost follows the number of pages and templates, how many custom blocks are needed, whether content must be written or migrated, how many languages are needed and which integrations the site uses. ZitDevs quotes after agreeing a page inventory, and the proposal states what is included.

Do you use a premium theme or build a custom one?

Normally a custom theme, written for your content and design, because a multipurpose theme loads features the site does not use. If you already depend on a theme, the proposal says whether to keep it or replace it, and why.

Can our team edit the site after launch?

Yes. Pages are built from custom blocks and patterns, so your team can add and change content without breaking the layout. Which areas are editable is agreed during the build.

Can you fix or rebuild an existing WordPress site?

Yes. Work starts with a review of the current site: theme, plugins, hosting, performance and what ranks. The review says whether a repair is enough or whether a rebuild costs less over time.

Can you move our site to WordPress?

Yes. Migration covers content, media, URL mapping and redirects, plus checks after launch that nothing was lost and that analytics continue reporting.

Do you build WordPress sites in English and Spanish?

Yes. A bilingual site gets separate URLs per language, translated metadata, localised slugs and hreflang signals, with copy written in each language rather than run through a translator.

Will the site be fast and ready for search?

Performance and technical SEO are build requirements: a light theme, optimised images, caching, clean headings, metadata per page, structured data and sitemaps. Rankings cannot be guaranteed, and nobody should promise them.

Do you maintain WordPress sites after launch?

Yes, for the sites ZitDevs builds, as a monthly service covering updates, backups, monitoring, security checks and small changes. A site built by someone else is assessed first, and ZitDevs confirms what it can support before committing.

Who hosts the site?

Hosting is agreed in the proposal: hosting you already have, if it is suitable, or a host recommended for the project. Either way, the accounts and the access stay yours.

Mobile Applications

View service
How much does a mobile app cost?

Cost depends on the number of screens and user roles, the integrations with your systems, whether the app must work offline and whether a backend already exists. We give a written estimate after discovery, with the assumptions stated so you can see what would change it.

How long does it take to build an app?

It depends on the first release, not the eventual product. We scope a first version small enough to reach the stores, then sequence the rest. Store review adds time at each submission and is included in the plan.

Do you build for both iOS and Android?

Yes. By default both are built from a shared React Native codebase and released together. Where a feature needs native code, we explain why before building it.

Can you take over an existing app?

Yes. We start with a technical review of the codebase, dependencies, store accounts and backend, then recommend whether to stabilize, extend or rebuild. The review is a deliverable you can act on with or without us.

Do you handle App Store and Google Play publishing?

Yes. Store listings, privacy forms, test tracks, submission and responses to review feedback are part of the engagement.

Can the app work offline?

Yes, where the use case needs it. Offline support is designed into the data model from the start, because adding it later usually means rewriting how the app stores and syncs information.

Who owns the app and the source code?

Ownership of deliverables is defined in the contract for each engagement, before work begins. Store accounts are set up under your organization wherever the stores allow it.

Do you provide maintenance after launch?

Yes. A managed monthly service covers OS compatibility, dependency updates, crash monitoring, store policy changes, fixes and new features.

Product Design

View service
How much does product design cost?

Cost depends on the number of user roles and core flows, how much research is needed, whether a design system is included and whether the product already exists. We give a written estimate after an initial conversation, with the scope and deliverables stated.

How long does a design project take?

It depends on the scope of the first set of flows. We sequence the work so that the highest-value flows are designed and tested first, and development can start on them while the rest continues.

Do you design only, or also build?

Both. Design can be delivered on its own, or as part of a design and build engagement where the same company develops the product. Design-only work is specified so any engineering team can implement it.

Can you redesign an existing product without disrupting users?

Yes. We usually recommend an incremental approach: improve the highest-impact flows first, introduce shared components gradually and measure the effect of each change.

Do you conduct user research?

Yes. Research can include interviews, observation of real work, analytics review and usability testing. The depth is agreed per project according to what decisions need evidence.

Which design tools do you use?

Typically Figma for design, prototypes and component libraries. Files and libraries are handed over as part of the deliverables.

Can you create a design system for our product?

Yes. That includes components, tokens, patterns and usage documentation, designed to match how your engineering team builds the interface.

Who owns the design files?

Ownership of deliverables is defined in the contract for each engagement, before work begins.

Managed IT & Help Desk

View service
What are managed IT services?

Managed IT means an external provider takes continuing responsibility for the technology your business runs on: user support, accounts and access, email and cloud administration, device configuration, monitoring, backup oversight and documentation. It is contracted as ongoing coverage with an agreed scope, rather than billed each time something breaks.

Can ZitDevs replace an internal IT employee?

In some companies yes, in others the right answer is co-managed. It depends on how much of the role is technical support versus physical, on-site or specialist work. The assessment is where that is decided honestly, and we will say if a full replacement is not realistic.

Can you support a fully remote team?

Yes. Remote and hybrid teams are the common case. Support is delivered through the agreed channel, and device baselines and account policies are standardised so that location stops mattering.

Do you support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?

Yes, both, including user provisioning, shared mailboxes, groups, storage, security settings and domain configuration. If you run both, we administer both.

What is included in the help desk?

End-user requests: access and password problems, email issues, device and software configuration, file and permission questions, printing and connectivity, and account changes. Requests outside scope are identified as such rather than quietly absorbed or ignored.

How is onboarding handled?

It runs in four stages: assessment, written scope, onboarding, then operation. Onboarding covers documenting the environment, setting up the support channel, standardising access and taking over administration.

Can you work alongside our internal IT team?

Yes. In co-managed engagements the split of responsibilities is written down — who owns which systems, who escalates to whom — so neither side assumes the other is handling something.

Do you support employee devices?

Yes, on Windows and macOS: configuration, accounts, access, software installation and support. Hardware repair and warranty claims are coordinated with your supplier rather than performed by us.

Do you provide cybersecurity services?

Managed IT includes security configuration, access reviews, email protection and backup oversight as part of ongoing care. A deeper security assessment is delivered as an IT audit, and specialist work beyond that scope is quoted separately.

How quickly can managed IT service begin?

That depends on the assessment and on how much documentation exists. We do not publish a start date before seeing the environment, because taking over administration responsibly takes as long as it takes to know what is there.

Cloud & Email Management

View service
Do you support both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?

Yes, including businesses running both. Administration covers users, licences, groups, shared mailboxes, storage, sharing rules, security settings and domain configuration on either platform.

Can you migrate us from one platform to the other?

Migration is quoted as a project rather than included in ongoing administration, because it depends on mailbox count, data volume and how much has to be preserved.

Do we keep ownership of our accounts?

Yes. Administration is performed inside your own tenant under your ownership. Nothing is moved into an account controlled by us.

What happens when an employee leaves?

Access is revoked on the agreed timeline, the licence is reclaimed, and mail and files are retained or transferred according to the policy set with you. The change is documented.

Can you fix our email deliverability?

We can review and correct mail authentication records — SPF, DKIM and DMARC — and platform settings that affect delivery. Deliverability also depends on sending behaviour and list quality, which we will assess honestly rather than promise to solve.

Do you provide email backups?

We oversee backup coverage and verify it on a schedule. Where no suitable backup exists, we will recommend an approach and quote it rather than assume the platform’s defaults are sufficient.

Is this included in managed IT?

Cloud and email administration is part of a managed IT engagement. It is also available on its own if you have device and user support handled elsewhere.

Can you help with domains and DNS?

Yes: domain registration and renewal oversight, DNS records, mail authentication, subdomains and the records needed by your website and third-party tools.

Website Maintenance

View service
What does website maintenance include?

Software and component updates, backups, uptime and performance monitoring, SSL oversight, security checks, minor fixes, content updates, analytics verification and a documented monthly summary. Exact coverage is set in the agreement.

Can you maintain a site you did not build?

Yes. We start with an assessment of the platform, hosting, components and current condition, and we will tell you honestly if the site is in a state where maintenance is not the right investment.

Do you maintain WordPress sites?

We assess the platform first and confirm what we can support before committing. Rather than list platforms we may not maintain well, we answer this against your actual site in the assessment.

How many content changes are included?

An allowance for minor changes is defined in the agreement. Larger work — new pages, new sections, redesigns — is quoted separately so the recurring fee stays predictable for both sides.

What happens if the site goes down?

Uptime monitoring alerts us, and the response follows the priority levels agreed in the service agreement. Where the cause sits with your hosting provider, we coordinate with them.

Do you handle backups?

Yes, including verifying that backups exist, that they cover what matters, and that a restore is possible. Where the current setup is inadequate we will say so and propose an approach.

Will you tell us if something needs rebuilding?

Yes. If a site has reached the point where maintaining it costs more than replacing it, that is in the assessment rather than discovered a year into a maintenance contract.

Is hosting included?

Hosting is separate. We can oversee and coordinate with your hosting provider, or advise on a change, but the maintenance fee does not bundle hosting costs.

Infrastructure & Security

View service
What does the service cost?

Cost depends on the number of servers, cloud accounts and locations covered, the response targets required and whether an internal team shares the work. A written proposal follows the initial assessment.

Do you work with our existing cloud provider?

Yes. ZitDevs works with the environments you already use, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and on-premises servers.

Can you respond to a security incident?

Yes. Incident response is part of the managed service, with contact channels and response targets agreed in writing. For an active incident outside an agreement, contact ZitDevs directly.

Will this make us compliant with a standard?

The service improves the controls most standards ask for and produces evidence of them. Formal certification requires an accredited auditor, which ZitDevs does not replace.

Can you work alongside our IT staff?

Yes. Co-managed arrangements define in writing which tasks belong to your team and which to ZitDevs.

Who keeps the credentials and documentation?

Your organization. Credentials are stored in systems you control, and documentation is delivered as part of the service.

Grow

Search, analytics, ads and content.

SEO Management

View service
How long before SEO shows results?

Technical fixes can register within weeks. Content and authority build over months. We set a baseline in the first cycle so any change afterwards is measurable rather than claimed.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No. Rankings depend on competition, search engine changes and factors no provider controls. Any guarantee offered elsewhere is either a redefinition of the term or a very low-competition keyword.

What does an SEO audit include?

Crawlability and indexation, site structure, metadata, headings, internal linking, page speed, structured data, mobile rendering, content coverage against keyword intent, and the state of analytics and conversion tracking. It is delivered as a prioritised action list.

Do you implement the fixes or just report them?

We implement them. Technical work, on-page changes and content are part of the managed programme rather than recommendations handed back for someone else to action.

Can you do SEO in both English and Spanish?

Yes, and each language is researched separately. Spanish pages are written in Spanish rather than translated, with their own slugs, metadata and local intent terms.

Do you handle local SEO?

Yes: business profile setup and maintenance, location-relevant pages, consistent business information and region-specific phrasing for the markets you actually serve.

What reporting do we receive?

A monthly report against agreed measures — sessions, conversions, cluster movement, open technical issues and published pages — with written commentary on what changed and what the next cycle prioritises.

Can you work with our existing marketing team?

Yes. A common split is that we cover technical SEO and measurement while an internal team owns brand and campaigns.

Analytics & Reporting

View service
What does the service cost?

Cost depends on the number of sites and channels, how much tracking must be rebuilt, the integrations required and the reporting frequency. A written proposal follows a short review of your current setup.

Do you work with GA4?

Yes. GA4 is the default, configured with Google Tag Manager, conversion events and Search Console. Other tools are used where you already rely on them.

Why do our ad platforms and analytics disagree?

Each tool counts differently: attribution windows, consent, ad blockers and duplicate conversions all affect the totals. The setup documents which source is used for which decision.

Can you track phone calls and chats?

Yes, where the call or chat system supports it. Options are confirmed during the audit.

How do you handle cookie consent?

Tracking is configured to respect the consent choices on your site, and the effect on reported numbers is explained in the reports.

Who owns the analytics accounts?

Your organization. Accounts are created or kept under your ownership, and ZitDevs is granted access.

Google & Meta Ads

View service
How much should we spend on ads?

It depends on your market, the cost of clicks in your category and how many enquiries you can handle. The plan recommends a starting budget and the point at which results can be evaluated.

How is the management fee calculated?

The fee is based on the number of channels, campaigns and languages managed and the reporting required. It is stated in writing and kept separate from media spend.

How soon will we see results?

Campaigns begin producing data immediately, but optimization needs enough conversions to learn from. The plan states when the first evaluation will take place.

Who owns the ad accounts?

Your organization. Accounts are created or kept under your ownership, and ZitDevs is granted access to manage them.

Do you run campaigns in Spanish?

Yes. Campaigns can run in English, Spanish or both, with ads and keywords written for each language rather than translated.

Can you take over from our current agency?

Yes. The transition starts with an account audit, and access is transferred so that historical data is kept.

Copywriting & Content

View service
How is content priced?

Pricing depends on the number and type of pieces, the research and interviews needed and the number of languages. Website projects are quoted per page inventory; ongoing content is quoted per month.

Do you write in Spanish?

Yes. Spanish content is written, not translated, with terminology and search phrasing checked for the market you serve.

Do you use AI to write content?

Tools may assist with research and outlines. Every published piece is written, edited and fact-checked by a person and reviewed by your team.

How much of our time will it take?

Usually a short interview per topic and one review round per draft. The workflow is agreed at the start.

Can you work with our existing brand voice?

Yes. Existing guidelines are followed, and where none exist a short voice and style guide can be created.

Who owns the content?

Ownership of deliverables is defined in the contract for each engagement, before work begins.

Advise

Consulting, audits, roadmaps and teams.

Technology Consulting

View service
What does consulting cost?

Decision engagements are quoted as a fixed scope once the question is agreed. Advisory retainers are quoted as monthly hours.

Will you recommend your own services?

Only when they are the best option, and the recommendation says so explicitly. Many engagements recommend a product or approach ZitDevs does not provide.

Do you receive commissions from vendors?

No. ZitDevs does not accept referral fees or commissions from the vendors it evaluates.

How long does an engagement take?

It depends on the decision and access to information. The timeline is agreed when the question is framed.

Can you act as our fractional CTO?

Yes, through an advisory retainer with agreed hours, responsibilities and reporting lines.

What if we disagree with the recommendation?

The document shows the reasoning and assumptions, so it can be challenged point by point. Revisions are part of the engagement.

IT Audits

View service
What is an IT audit?

A structured review of the technology a business depends on — users and access, email, devices, cloud storage, domains, connectivity, backups, security configuration, documentation and vendor dependencies — delivered as findings, ranked risks and a prioritised roadmap.

How long does an audit take?

It depends on the number of users, systems and vendors, and on how much documentation already exists. We give a duration with the scope, before starting, rather than publishing an average that may not apply to you.

Do we have to give you administrative access?

Where full review requires it, yes, and it is agreed in writing beforehand. Wherever read-only access is sufficient, that is what we ask for. Any change to your environment during the audit is proposed and approved first.

Is this a cybersecurity audit?

It includes a security assessment of configuration, access and email protection, which is what most businesses need first. It is not a penetration test or a regulatory certification; if you need either, we will say so and scope it separately.

Can you audit Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace specifically?

Yes. A platform-specific audit covering users, licences, groups, sharing, mail flow, security settings and retention can be scoped on its own.

Are we obliged to hire ZitDevs afterwards?

No. The audit is standalone work. The report is written so that your own team or another provider can implement it.

Who reads the report?

It is written for two audiences: an executive summary for the owner or director, and detailed findings for whoever will implement them.

What if you find something serious?

Anything urgent is raised as soon as it is found rather than held back for the report, along with what we recommend doing immediately.

Technology Roadmaps

View service
What does a roadmap cost?

Cost depends on the size of the organization, the number of systems and departments involved and whether quarterly reviews are included. It is quoted as a fixed scope.

How long does it take to build?

It depends on access to people and information. The timeline is agreed at the start and usually includes a draft review before the final presentation.

Do we need an IT audit first?

Not always. If the current environment is well understood, the roadmap can start directly. If not, an audit is recommended first or combined with the roadmap.

Will the roadmap only include ZitDevs services?

No. The roadmap covers the work that needs to happen, whoever delivers it, including your internal team and other providers.

How precise are the cost estimates?

Estimates are given as ranges with the assumptions behind them. They are refined as each initiative is scoped in detail.

What happens when priorities change?

The quarterly review exists for that. New requests go through the agreed intake process and the plan is updated.

Dedicated Technology Teams

View service
What is a dedicated development team?

A group of specialists working exclusively on your roadmap, provided and coordinated as a managed service. ZitDevs composes the team from your requirements, runs the coordination and technical oversight, and remains accountable as the provider. You direct the priorities.

How is this different from staff augmentation?

Augmentation places individuals into your existing team and process; you manage them. A dedicated team arrives with its own coordination, technical oversight and documentation practice. Both are available here — the right one depends on whether your team already has the capacity to manage people.

Can we hire one specialist instead of a complete team?

Yes. A fractional specialist — technical lead, DevOps, QA or design — is a common engagement, with a defined weekly allocation rather than an open-ended arrangement.

Who manages the team?

ZitDevs manages the team as a service: composition, coordination, technical oversight and continuity. You own the product priorities. Where you already have a project manager or technical lead, we align to them rather than duplicating the role.

Can the team work with our current employees?

Yes. Shared delivery is normal. Repository access, review process, definition of done and communication channels are agreed at onboarding so responsibilities are explicit.

Can we choose the technology stack?

Yes. You choose. Where you have no preference we will recommend one and explain the trade-off, and we will tell you plainly if a stack is outside what we can staff well.

How quickly can a team be assembled?

That depends on the roles, the seniority and the stack. We give a realistic timeline after the brief rather than publishing one, because a fast answer that misses the requirement costs more than a week of waiting.

Can the team scale up or down?

Yes. Composition is reviewed against the roadmap, and roles can be added, reduced or swapped on the notice period agreed in the engagement.

Which time zones can ZitDevs support?

ZitDevs is based in the Dominican Republic, which overlaps closely with US Eastern time and covers most of Latin America within normal working hours. Coverage for other regions is discussed in the brief rather than assumed.

How is confidential information protected?

Confidentiality terms are agreed in writing before the engagement begins, and access is limited to the people assigned to your work. Specific controls are set per engagement according to what the team will touch.
