Web development

Websites built to support business growth

Create a fast, scalable and conversion-focused website that clearly communicates your value and continues performing after launch.

For companies whose website has to earn enquiries — not a placeholder page, and not a template a marketing tool generated.

Page architecture Illustrative
  1. Hero — one clear proposition
  2. Positioning strip
  3. Problem the visitor recognises
  4. Service explanation
  5. Proof and process
  6. Conversion block

Illustrative structure. Your architecture follows your audience, your services and the questions buyers actually ask.

  • Built to be found

Technical SEO, structured headings and clean markup are part of development, not a later fix.

  • Built to convert

Every page has one job, one primary action and copy written for the decision the visitor is making.

  • Built to be handed over

Your team can edit content, and your developers can read the code.

The business problem

Most business websites fail at explaining the business.

The design is usually not the reason a website underperforms. A visitor arrives with a specific question, finds a page written for everyone, cannot tell whether this company handles their situation, and leaves. Meanwhile the site is slow, the content is locked in a developer’s inbox, and nothing measures whether any of it worked.

  • The website does not clearly explain what the company actually does
  • The design feels dated and undermines an otherwise credible business
  • The site is slow or unreliable, particularly on mobile connections
  • Traffic arrives but visitors do not become enquiries
  • Content cannot be updated without going back to the developer
  • SEO was never considered during development, so structure works against it
  • The previous provider disappeared after launch and nobody owns the site
  • The business sells in two languages but the website only speaks one

Outcomes

What a website project should deliver.

  • 01

    A proposition a stranger understands

Positioning and copy that answer what you do, who for, and what happens next — above the fold.

  • 02

    Pages that carry search intent

A page per real question buyers ask, structured so search engines can read what it is about.

  • 03

    Measured conversion

Analytics and conversion events configured at launch, so performance is observed rather than assumed.

  • 04

A site your team can run

Content editing, a documented structure and a maintenance path that does not depend on one person.

Positioning

More than a visual redesign.

A new look changes how the site feels. It does not change whether the site explains your business or produces enquiries. These are two different pieces of work, and they cost differently for a reason.

Typical redesign

  • Updated colours
  • New layout
  • Same unclear positioning
  • No conversion strategy
  • No measurement
  • No long-term support

ZitDevs website system

  • Business and audience research
  • Information architecture
  • Conversion-focused copy
  • SEO-ready development
  • Analytics and conversion tracking
  • Ongoing maintenance

Capabilities

What a website engagement covers.

A project normally includes most of the following. What applies to you is agreed in the proposal rather than assumed.

Strategy and content

  • Website strategy
  • Information architecture
  • UX/UI design
  • Copywriting
  • Content model definition

Development

  • Responsive development
  • Multilingual architecture
  • CMS integration
  • Website migration
  • Accessibility

Performance and measurement

  • Technical SEO
  • Analytics setup
  • Conversion tracking
  • Performance optimization
  • Ongoing maintenance

Fit

Who this service is for.

A good fit when

  • The website is a real sales channel and its current version is losing enquiries.
  • You sell a considered service and buyers need to understand it before contacting you.
  • You operate in English and Spanish, or plan to.
  • You want the site to keep being maintained rather than aged out over three years.
  • Someone internally can approve positioning and answer questions about your buyers.

Probably not the right fit when

  • A one-page placeholder is genuinely enough for now.
  • The requirement is a full application with accounts and business logic — that is custom software development.
  • Nobody can commit to reviewing copy and structure decisions during the project.

Process

How a website is built.

Strategy and content come before design, because a layout cannot fix a page that does not know what it is saying.

  1. 01

    Strategy

Audience, positioning, competitors, the questions buyers ask and the pages needed to answer them.

  2. 02

    Content

Copy and structure written page by page, with the primary action for each page decided up front.

  3. 03

    UX/UI

Design applied to real content, on the ZitDevs design system, reviewed at mobile width first.

  4. 04

    Development

Responsive, multilingual, SEO-ready build with a content model your team can actually use.

  5. 05

    Testing

Cross-browser and device testing, forms, performance, accessibility checks and link integrity.

  6. 06

    Launch

Migration, redirects, analytics, search console setup and a documented handover.

  7. 07

    Optimization

Post-launch review against real behaviour, then a prioritised list of improvements.

Multilingual

A bilingual website, built as one system.

A Spanish version is not a translation bolted onto an English site. It needs its own URLs, its own metadata and its own keyword logic, or search engines treat it as a duplicate and buyers get sentences that read like software output.

  • Keywords differ by language

Spanish-speaking buyers search with different phrasing, so the Spanish page is planned separately rather than mirrored.

  • The switch preserves context

Changing language keeps the visitor on the equivalent page instead of returning them to the homepage.

Language architecture Illustrative
  • Language-specific URLs /en/ and /es/
  • Translated metadata Per page, per language
  • Localised slugs Not machine-translated
  • hreflang signals Declared both ways
  • Language switch Keeps the visitor on the same page
  • Editorial review Copy written, not run through a translator

Illustrative structure. Language scope and URL strategy are agreed before development starts.

Technology

How the site is built.

We favour widely supported technology so the site can be maintained by us, by your team, or by someone else entirely.

If you need a specific CMS because your team already uses it, say so early — it changes the build, not the outcome.

Framework

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Static and server rendering

Content

  • Headless CMS
  • Structured content models
  • Editorial workflows
  • Media handling

Search foundations

  • Semantic markup
  • Metadata per page
  • Structured data
  • Sitemaps and redirects

Measurement

  • Analytics
  • Conversion events
  • Search Console
  • Performance monitoring

Engagement models

How this is contracted.

Project-based

A defined website scope, page inventory, timeline and launch plan.

  • Fixed page inventory
  • Copy and design included
  • Best for a new site or full redesign

Phased build

Launch a core set of pages, then extend section by section.

  • Faster first launch
  • Content added in stages
  • Best when content is not ready

Managed monthly

Continuing maintenance, content updates and optimization after launch.

  • Updates and monitoring
  • Prioritised improvements
  • Best for sites that must keep improving

Why ZitDevs

What makes the engagement different.

  • Copy is part of development

We write the page, not just build it. Structure and words are decided together because they are the same problem.

  • SEO is a build requirement

Headings, metadata, performance and structured data are done during development, not sold back to you afterwards.

  • Bilingual by default

English and Spanish are treated as first-class from the architecture up.

  • The site keeps an owner

Maintenance is available as a continuing service, so the site does not decay quietly after launch.

FAQ

Questions about web development.

Answers are written for this service. Where a figure depends on your situation, we say so instead of publishing an average.

How much does a business website cost?

Cost follows the number of pages, how much copy has to be written, how many languages are needed, whether a CMS is involved and whether content must be migrated. We quote after agreeing a page inventory, and the proposal states what is included so the comparison with other quotes is fair.

How long does website development take?

The stage that usually takes longest is content, not code. Once positioning and copy are settled, development and testing move quickly. We give a timeline with the proposal and identify which parts depend on your review.

Can ZitDevs redesign an existing website?

Yes. A redesign begins with a review of the current site: what ranks, what converts, what URLs must be preserved and what should be removed. Existing search visibility is protected with a redirect plan rather than lost at launch.

Do you provide copywriting?

Yes. Website and landing-page copy are part of the engagement, written in English and Spanish, informed by search intent and reviewed with you before design.

Will the website be SEO-ready?

Yes. That means semantic structure, one H1 per page, metadata per page and per language, structured data where appropriate, fast loading, clean URLs, sitemaps and Search Console setup. It does not mean guaranteed rankings, which nobody can promise.

Can you build a multilingual website?

Yes. Multilingual architecture is standard for us: separate URLs per language, translated metadata, localised slugs, hreflang signals and a language switch that keeps the visitor on the same page.

Can our team update the content?

Yes. We define a content model and connect a CMS so your team can edit text and images without a developer. Which areas are editable is agreed during the build.

Do you provide maintenance after launch?

Yes, as a monthly service covering updates, backups, uptime monitoring, security checks, small fixes and content changes.

Can you migrate our existing website?

Yes. Migration covers content, media, URL mapping and redirects, plus verification after launch that nothing was lost and that analytics continue reporting.

Which technologies do you use?

Typically Next.js, React and TypeScript with a headless CMS. Where you already run a platform your team maintains, we will discuss building on it rather than replacing it.

Start with the pages your buyers actually need.

Tell us what you sell and who decides. We will come back with a page inventory, a structure and a plan for launch.

The form is preselected for web development and asks whether this is a new site or a redesign.
